The expansion for Atlantis Exodus introduces jokers to the game in the form of polymaths, who can take on the characteristics of workers, intellectuals and scientists. They cannot completely replace them, but they bring new tactical possibilities to the game.
With the small tableaus as player aids, which you can use or not as you wish, you can keep an overview even during longer chain moves.
